It’s that time of year where folks reflect on everything they are blessed to have, and grateful for. This post is going to be my list of gratefulness 🙂 and I do have much to be thankful for.
Since it has been heavy on my mind and my heart, I am going to start by saying I am grateful for my dog, Lux. My boy was diagnosed with lymphoma a few months ago, and he has been steadily declining. It’s heartbreaking, and has been really hard to go through. He wasn’t supposed to make it past 3 months, but my little guy is a tough cookie, and he’s hanging in there.
I am grateful for my time with him. I know we are on limited time these days; he is definitely declining a lot these days, and I’m thinking I only have up to a couple more weeks left with him. It breaks my heart to write those words, and I could cry right now just thinking about it. I love that dog so dang much. He’s been with me through everything: graduating, moving across country, opening my practice, growing it, buying a home, gaining a family… he has been my one and only constant through it all. I love you Lux. Thank you for being the best dog I could have ever hoped for.
I grateful for my wife and my kids. I love my family! I should throw my other dog, Coco, in with this group as well, because she is a wonderful little pup as well. She too will be heartbroken when Lux passes.
Thank you to my wife for always supporting and encouraging me in everything I do. She is my ride or die, and I appreciate everything she does for us and our family. She really holds down the fort, and honestly acts as a single mom during weekdays. My schedule just doesn’t allow me to help out much, but she handles it all. I don’t know how she does it. She’s amazing.
I’m grateful to have a career that I love and enjoy doing. So many people hate what they do, and dread going to work each day. They wish for the weekend, and dread Monday. I love Mondays! For real, I do. I’m well rested from my long weekend, and get a fresh, clean slate to start off with. I like coming to my office, and I enjoy my day. I also make a good living while doing it. All of those things combined are rare to find today, so I’m grateful to have it.
I’m grateful for a nice home. A home with a well stocked fridge, heat and air conditioning, comfortable furniture, and nice decor. I love our home, and I love our neighborhood; it’s perfect for us at this time in our lives, and I’m very grateful that I bought this house when I did, and that it has served us well, and will continue to serve us well for as many years as we choose to stay here.
I’m grateful for a nice, reliable, comfortable vehicle. I love my truck! Every time Rachell rides in it with me I tell her I love it. It’s great in every way, and I plan on driving that thing until the wheels come off. I think I will always have a truck for my vehicle.
There are so many more things I could write about, but I wanted to hit on the big hitters. Thank you to every person that is a member of my practice, both past and present. Without you, none of this would be possible. I am grateful you value my service and what I provide here at ChiroPure. Thank you for supporting my vision and mission, and allowing me to live such a wonderful life.
